Meet the globe-trotting Bella family. English is their favourite subject.

Clever, cunning and uncompromising, Ms Bella is the true head of the family. She loves being an English teacher almost as much as she loves being a mum. She’s the adult voice you’ll hear the most in our series. Ms Bella leads many of the video tutorials and narrates audiobooks.

Ms Bella

Mr Bella appears to have been born in the wrong era. He doesn’t leave the house without a book. The kind you can flick through. He misses corded telephones, licking stamps and visiting the postbox. Mr B’s idea of a fun evening is spending time with a Dickens or Hardy novel, sometimes even an Austen. He’s also an English teacher and presents video tutorials.

Mr Bella

Amara

The eldest of the Bella children, Amara is fiercely independent, with inspective tendencies. She delights in executing sophisticated manhunts. An outspoken activist, this teen is determined to solve the mystery of Mayham’s missing books and nothing will get in her way. Not even her upcoming exams. She also reads detective mysteries and solves our frequently asked questions.

Hayden

His older sister might be the Chief Investigative Officer, but Hayden is the CEO. That’s Chief Environment Officer for those who don’t know. This 13-year-old loves nothing more than being in nature. He’s passionate about the planet and doesn’t shut up about it. Nothing brings him more joy than experiencing the outdoors while kicking a ball. Not surprisingly, considering his parentage, Hayden’s also got a fondness for fiction.

Khena

Fearless and formidable, this six year old understands what most people miss. That life is for playing. The family’s Chief Adventure Officer is also the star of our picture book series. Khena embarks on daring jaunts across the city of Mayham. Despite his small size, he carries the biggest brain the Bella family. Khena simply gets life and he is milking it for all it’s worth.
