Meet the Mayor

MJ is no typical public figure. She’s also an English teacher, a fiction author and an adventurous Nana. For four decades, she has taught secondary school students across the globe; from Mayham to the Middle East.

In her manifesto, she promises to reach small humans all over the world, regardless of their access to school or money. That’s why donations are so helpful. They ensure our resources remain free and widely available.

  • At Mayham City Council we believe young people make great decisions. We also believe they thrive when learning on their own terms. Your support helps us produce free online lessons for formidable young people everywhere.

  • Donations help to cover the cost of multimedia productions and mentoring for young writers.

  • The general fund pays for our free lessons and resources. This includes animated video tutorials, pdf study guides, books, exam practice workbooks and running our social media platforms.

  • The Scribe Tribe is our non-profit publishing department which supports budding young writers. We offer free online mentoring, as well as publishing and promotion. All donations made to this fund cover the publishing, mentoring and marketing costs.

  • We are not currently a registered charity, therefore donations are not tax-deductible.
